In August 2015, the Text4Help team took that technology into a much larger arena by traveling to Washington, D.C., for an FCC-related supplier diversity conference and workshop. Contemporary coverage from that period identifies Text4Help among the organizations participating alongside major technology and communications companies including Microsoft, Comcast, Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon. This was an important opportunity because it placed the Text4Help concept in front of people working within the communications and technology industries. Behind the presentation was software developed by V Dot Nam, giving the project a technological foundation that could demonstrate how the Text4Help vision could be translated into an actual digital solution.
The journey continued in September 2015 when the Text4Help project and its technology were taken to Silicon Valley. The August FCC appearance and September Silicon Valley trip demonstrated the ambition behind Text4Help: this was not intended to remain simply an idea discussed within a local community.
